Some people have dreams, some have discipline. Often visionaries find themselves without the discipline to realize their goals, and just as often those with plenty of discipline find themselves frustrated by a lack of direction.

Coaching can help.

Here are some answers to questions you may have about the coaching process. Please feel free to ask us about your individual concerns.

 Why would I work with a coach?

People who work with a BCC Coach are willing to challenge themselves to accomplish things that are truly meaningful to them. Some clients have a drive to be recognized nationally or internationally. Others have goals to achieve a better balance between their work and personal life. All are simply unwilling to put up with things the way they are.

  What kinds of results can I expect?

The goal of all coaching is to break records. To go beyond what is reasonable or expected requires recognizing and eliminating the habits and assumptions that have kept you from realizing your potential. The result is the satisfaction of accomplishing something that in the past you hardly dared to hope for.

  How is this coaching different?

Unlike professional sports coaching or coaching for people in the arts, this coaching is not industry specific. The methodology involves understanding and redesigning the personal "system" in which you operate. When unrecognized, this system functions as a filter which can cause us to resist challenges that are well within our reach.

BCC's coaching is based on a few basic assumptions:

  • Anything is possible
  • Everything you have ever done has prepared you for what's next.
  • Options that once seemed out of reach become possible when you can appreciate the depth and breadth of your knowledge, and talent, and the power of your commitment.
  • Change is growth.

  How long will it take?

The purpose of coaching is to support you in reaching your goal. Some people want coaching:

  • hourly, as-needed;
  • for a specific project or goal;
  • ongoing and open ended.

How long and how frequently we work together will depend on what you are trying to accomplish and what works best for you.

 What kinds of results do clients report?

"I used to think that in my career I had somehow'missed the boat.' With BCC's coaching I realized that I had the perspective and training I needed for the leading edge work I am now internationally recognized for."

"I used to be a programmer and dissatisfied. Now I have a flower shop, a wife, a Harley Davidson and a life!"

"With each meeting I have greater clarity and certainty in my ability to make choices that "feel right" and that also reflect my firm's core values."

"The most powerful thing my coaching with Sydney gives me is that I know I have a 'partner to the goal.' "
